Always fascinated by science, Pactricia, a native of Valencia, Spain, completed a B.Sc. in Industrial Technologies Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in 2016. She then promptly relocated to Denmark to continue her education, having been accepted onto the M.Sc. Industrial Engineering and Management programme at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
Intent on learning as much as possible during her studies, Patricia has gained valuable knowhow from successive internships. In Spain, these included year-long engagements with Energía Térmica Avanzade, where she worked in the manufacturing department on an innovative mechanism to prevent overheating in solar panels, and with the Ford Motor Company, where she interned in the Predictive Maintenance Department, using ultrasonic and thermographic technologies to monitor the robotics on the production line for flaws.
Having arrived in Denmark, she wasted little time becoming involved in developing an app for energy start-up SmartChange using consumption data to influence customer behaviour, for which she and team were awarded second prize in the E.ON Accelerate CPH programme. Patricia joined Langebaek in June 2017, having attended a lecture by Langebaek at DTU and subsequently showing her determination in applying unsolicited for an internship at the company.
