Performance measurement - SCM

A clear definition of the right measurement criteria and performance measurement in the supply chain is essential to ensure overview and the right focus.

Dependent on the company type and structure it is possible to define a number of measurement criteria in the separate supply chain areas and overall criteria for the entire chain. It is important that the defined criteria are easily generated and updated.

Examples of performance measurement criteria:

  • Ability to supply
  • Quality of supply
  • Cost percentage in each chain and in total
  • Delivery time to the customer
  • Volume utilisation in the distribution
  • Pick performance
  • Erroneous picking
  • Stock turnover rate
  • Uptime in the production
  • Lead times
  • Correct supplies from supplier
  • Delivery at agreed time
  • Etc.
